Happy New Year!

I know I am a little late out of the blocks with my first post of 2016 but after a very busy 2015 I gave myself a little break and had some quality time with Gemma & the kids. It was a luxury to have a little reflection time to remember all the highs throughout 2015 which I can honestly say has been one of my most exciting years on record!

Now I am recharged, I can look forward to the many exciting plans on the horizon plus all the sewing projects which I want to share.

As a small thank you for all the support you have shown and a welcome to any new stitchers who join our friendly community I would like to run a SEW-A-SAURUS giveaway competition.

One of our biggest achievements of last year was launching our first sewing kit range, to celebrate it’s success I am putting a signed SEW-A-SURUS kit up for grabs to a lucky winner who will be picked at random on 1st February.

Matt Chapple, winner of the Great British Sewing BeeMatt

The stitcher. A magnet for foolery & prankster at heart. Loves being creative, whether with some wood and a saw or with a needle and thread. Attempts to disguise his past time activities as manly pursuits, but is actually pretty handy at sewing!

I got a brand spanking new sewing machine in the cupboard that was given to me couple Christmasses ago, I want to finally sit down and do the memory blanket of our 3 little ones baby clothes but so far the machine has just been collecting dust as it’s not easy to find time with 1, 3 and 4 year olds running around, this year I AM going to get them done!

I was given an old sewing machine from my husband’s aunty and I have no idea where to start!!! I have never used one before and I am not very good. I would love to make black out curtains for my 4 month old and 4 year old son’s bedroom as we are struggling as we have just bought a new house so money is tight. I would also love to make them some toys and my 4 year old son is just crazy about dinosaurs. He knows so many different types. Thanks for this opportunity.

My goal is to get a sewing machine. I used to use the machines at work before I was made redundant so I have to start from scratch. Will need to do a lot of research before I commit to buying one x
