Come and see me at CarFest 2015…

If you haven’t heard of CarFest before, let me fill you in, it’s a fantastic 3 day festival of cars, music, food and masses of creative family fun, all conjured up by Chris Evans and in aid of Children in Need.  CarFest now in it’s third year is held in the North in Cheshire and in the South in Hampshire.

We have been to CarFest South for the last 2 years and it is a huge privilege to be supporting the festival this year.   It’s such a great mix of entertainment, the hill climb racing fuelling my love for cars, the kids summer camp of dreams, dancing to music legends,  plus plenty of gourmet food to keep energy levels high.   To be honest the list of entertainment goes on and on…you can see the line up on CarFest.org

So what am I doing there?  No I’m not using my army mechanical background but instead I will be exercising my sewing skills.  You can visit me in the Summer Camp where I will be making finish line chequered flags with kids. We have teamed up with Fiskars & Hobbycraft who have kindly supplied all the materials for the free workshop.

You will also find me in the Vintage Village on Saturday afternoon where you can  join me for a spot of bunting making.  You know I love a challenge so to make things more exciting we are running a little competition to see who can make the longest bunting the North or the South.

If you have a Saturday ticket to CarFest North or South and you fancy taking up the bunting challenge, simply download and print the Carfest 2015 Bunting template and make as many bunting flags as you can before the festival.  You can use any fabric that you like.  Bring them with you on Saturday and we will thread the bunting together…Lets see if we can make the bunting stretch the length of the track!

Hope to see you there!

The stitcher. A magnet for foolery & prankster at heart. Loves being creative, whether with some wood and a saw or with a needle and thread. Attempts to disguise his past time activities as manly pursuits, but is actually pretty handy at sewing!
